Checkmate

Two armies, fighting each other
Black and white, capturing each other
For one reason, glory and success

I am the King of the white army
I direct all moves of every piece
Though I can only move once
The other pieces will be the one handling
Will be the one creating opportunities

She is my Queen, the one I want to protect
From being captured by my enemy
For she is the one most important to me
The one I want to be with as we battle the world

I directed every piece, the pawns helped other pieces
Other pieces began to move, slowly but surely
We attack the other army, capturing every piece with style
And have a counter for every move of the opponent

Every of my piece was going to its right place
It's like this chess game is magic for no wrong moves was done
My Queen was very happy with the results
Every move of my army makes us believe we had it all
Each move makes me closer to us being forever
Battling every obstacle in our way
Making us sure of the future we have in our hands

But it was just for some time that every move of mine
Was magic and key to winning...

The other army's Queen begin to attack
She tried to disrupt the magic Me and my Queen have
I tried to counter it, I captured her and I thought I won

But that was just the start of the test me and my Queen will have

The black army has still weapons on their sleeves
I was tricked, and took a step forward
I thought this step forward will make us win
Will make me and my Queen say the sweet "Yes!"
I protected her too much
I began to be out of sync with what we really are
I began to want more and yet I know
We're happy with what we have

And it seemed I was baited, all my right moves
For all the right reasons began to vanish
With one wrong move, everything began to turn around
I was on top, experiencing glory with what we had
Now, on my low, regretting the extra step I've done

Slowly, the other army captured every piece I placed
Every box, I thought on the right box began to be a pain for me
And my army began to fall down
My weapons began to be not sufficient
And it was my fall, that one step forward
That led the other army capturing my Queen

I tried to still battle but I had no reason at all
For my Queen was gone and no weapons are left

As this capturing game started near the end
The black army being on the upper hand
And the black's queen being happy I've lost it all
I was the one left, all my pieces we're captured
Even my most precious White Army Queen

I was there alone, trying to escape the black's wrath
From cornering me and capturing me too
But they figured me out, I was out of sync
I was captured too, I was checkmated

I've lost the game, I've lost my Queen too

//Not a poem to describe my current romantic relationship. Also, it doesn't depict any of what has happened or what's been happening. Fairly, inspiration and imagination.
